"Your patients believe in you, and they believe in your treatment. They do everything to get to you. If you live in the Maritimes, you know how the weather can be. I didn’t want my patients risking their lives to come for treatment, especially in the winter time, so I said “we’re going to buy video teleconferencing” – to connect me with the doctors and my patients in Miramichi, and beyond. I do clinics every two weeks with my patients in Miramichi. I see them, they see me. They are happy because they know I am taking care of them and I don’t feel as far from my patients when they are stuck. Without fundraising, I wouldn’t have that equipment." - Dr. Harb
